Terms of Use
Updated: 19/10/2026
Bibly (the iPhone app and the usebibly.com website) is operated by I H F ALVES LTDA, Brazilian company registration (CNPJ) 66.498.316/0001-63. Contact: app@usebibly.com.
Acceptance
These terms cover the Bibly app and the usebibly.com website. By signing in to the app, you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Bibly.
What Bibly is
Bibly helps you read the Bible with plans, devotionals, questions, notes and a Focus Mode that pauses chosen apps while you read. Some features are part of the Bibly+ subscription (see below). The website presents the app and offers illustrative demonstrations, which do not create an account or save real data.
Your account
Using the app requires signing in with Apple, Google or e-mail. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure and for the information you provide. You can delete your account at any time in Profile > Account data.
Your content
Your notes, reflections, photos and answers are yours. You allow us to store, sync and show them to you, only to provide the service. We do not publish them or use them in analytics; when you share something, you choose where it goes.
Bibly content
Plans, lessons, editorial texts, illustrations, medals, the Bibly brand and interface belong to their owners and are licensed to you only for personal use in the app. Bible text comes from third-party sources (such as the ABíbliaDigital service), subject to the rights of each translation. Some editorial content may have been translated with the help of automated tools.
Bibly+ (subscription)
Bibly has a free plan and the Bibly+ subscription, which unlocks unlimited reading plans at the same time and Focus Mode. On the free plan you keep one plan in progress at a time; the Bible, versions, highlights, saved passages and notes stay free.
- Plans and prices: monthly and annual. The price, the period and what is included are shown in the app before you buy, in your store’s currency, and may vary by country.
- Payment: the purchase is made through the App Store and charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. We do not receive your card details.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial: when offered (for example, 7 days on the annual plan), nothing is charged during the trial; when it ends the subscription starts and is charged unless you cancel before. Each Apple Account can use the trial once. If you subscribe during the trial, the rest of it is forfeited.
- Coupons and offers: offer codes are redeemed through the App Store and apply under the terms shown when you redeem. When the offer period ends, the subscription renews at the regular price unless you cancel.
- Cancel or change plans: in iPhone Settings (your name > Subscriptions) or in the app under Profile > Subscription > Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid, and you keep Bibly+ until then.
- Refunds: are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, under App Store rules. This does not limit the rights consumer law gives you.
- Restore and other devices: Bibly+ follows your Bibly account; on another iPhone, use “Restore purchases” in the app if needed.
- Price changes: if the price changes, Apple tells you in advance and, where the law or the store’s rules require it, asks for your agreement.
Use of the app is also subject to Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where it differs from these terms, these terms apply to the extent Apple allows.
Acceptable use
Do not use Bibly to break the law or others’ rights, or try to access other people’s data, get around security, overload the servers or copy the app or its content at scale. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
Focus Mode and reminders
Focus Mode uses Apple’s Screen Time and depends on iOS permissions and behavior. It helps avoid distractions but does not guarantee apps are blocked in every situation. Reminders depend on notifications being allowed.
Nature of the content
Devotionals and commentaries are aids to reading and personal reflection. They do not replace pastoral, religious, psychological or professional advice.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Bibly available and accurate, but it may have interruptions, errors or feature changes. We may update the app and these terms; relevant changes will be announced in the app or on the site before they apply. Downloads are provided through the App Store, and compatibility and availability are those shown in the store; the Bibly+ conditions are in the section above.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for failures of third-party services (such as Apple, Google or the Bible text provider). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Brazilian consumer protection law.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Questions, support or content notices: app@usebibly.com.
